Singapore is one of the most visited countries in Asia, if not the world. The country might be small, but it is so advanced and beautiful, plus the citizens are disciplined enough due to Singapore’s strict rules and regulations.

If you are planning on visiting Singapore soon, then make sure to read these tips before planning on getting on the Sentosa cable car and doing other activities.

1. The prices are pretty steep

Singapore is one of the most expensive countries to live in and visit. It even outranks other expensive cities such as London and New York! The accommodation is pretty pricey, as well as the food, and of course, most of the shopping items are too.

Make sure to bring extra cash and compute your expenses before going on the tour. Know the package prices that you are planning on getting, as well as usual food prices so you would know how to budget your money.

2. Use public transportation

It is completely safe and fairly cheap, including the taxis. Surcharges can make the fare spike up a little during peak hours though, so the best way would be to take the bus or the train.

3. The nightlife is amazing.

One of the things that Singapore is most proud of is its nightlife. Make sure to visit Clark Quay for a great night out and to meet new people — locals and foreigners alike.

You have to be aware that alcohol is pretty expensive in Singapore though, so if you want to get wasted during your nights out, then be prepared to spend a lot of money.

If you are planning on drinking in your hotel room though, then buy some liquor at a Duty Free right after getting out of immigration at the airport, as alcohol here is less expensive.

Make an itinerary before going to Singapore so you would know which places to visit and what items to buy.
